The Road Goddess Guide
To look and feel calm, collected and composed at journey’s beginning and end, try these soothing, sensible ways to depart and arrive at your best.
Mind
With everything else out there on the road to worry
about, your motorcycle doesn’t need to be one of them.
Give yourself “peace of mind” and the confidence that
your bike will not let you down. You can do this by
taking a few pre-ride minutes to check over your
motorcycle. Just remember the acronym: T-CLOCS.
T: Tires and Wheels
C:
Controls
L: Lights
& Electrics
O Oil &
Other fluids
C:Chassis
S: Side
stand
This important checklist can help you spot any problems
that may need attention before you head out on your
journey.
Body
HAIR: To
keep those locks flowing after a ride,
carry a small bottle of hair detangler spray in your
bag. Not only does it get out those windblown knots, it
also eases Helmet Hair™.
SKIN:
Barely-there tops look cool, but are not the best to
keep you cool. The skin absorbs the sun’s heat
directly. So keep a light colored, lightweight covering
handy to give your skin a break. A funky little shawl is
chic and easy to pack.
FACE:
Keeping your skin clean while riding can be a challenge,
you know: flying debris from other motorist and
dive-bomber insects that seem to aim straight for the
face. Wipe off all that that gunk
with
a non-breakable bottle of your favorite skin toner. (It
also works well to treat any minor scrapes and cuts.)
Soul
HOLISTIC BIKER:
Have a vision of wholeness, the combination of all parts
with understanding and experience. Know yourself, know
your bike and cater to the spirit that binds everything
together.
FEED YOUR INNER SPIRIT:
Choose your own reality. Accept where you are at in
life. Allow yourself
choices; decide what rewarding goal
(motorcycles?) will bring you energy, love and joy. Give
yourself - give others the compassion and inspiration to
achieve that goal. Go for it! Don’t let past regrets or
people hold you back. It is never too late to let your
spirit shine, you deserve it! Take care of yourself, eat
right, exercise-rejuvenate! It makes the whole ride so
worth it.
